Contax MF-1 Eye Level prism serial number 902124. This includes the body, the eye level prism, the film back and insert the front body cap and the Contax neck strap - the last is nicely decorated with a 2 inch block of letters spelling, wait for it, CONTAX. You lucky devils, i bet you knew that already. I took the time to call kyocera and discussed the neck strap with them. Okay, so if you are drooling over this, you know pretty much what it is and maybe some of its capabilities.

And they are a lot, and i'm not going into them. Suffice it to say, and i will, this system beats hell out of the fujiblad and mamiya 645 systems. I was the second person to own this instrument. The original owner's name is on a nice small chrome placque beneath the camera logo on the side, as shown in the photos. If i were a younger person and in better physical condition, i'd have this hung permanently around my neck. One hell of a camera system. I found battery usage to be good for this size format. The camera is built like a brick. All letters and numerals are perfect and as new. This is one really excellent camera system. There is slight loss of finish on the bottom of the film back, by the serial number. Also some scratches by the hand grip. There are no dings or dents or cracks anywhere on the body, prism or film back. The eyecup on the prism is as new and there is no deterioration of the rubber.

The camera operates perfectly in all manual and automatic functions and in all exposure modes. Instant read outs and very clear in the finder. Focusing screen is nice and clean with no scratches, wipe marks, haze, fungus or separation. The same applies to the prism finder.

Body shutter curtains are as new, mint, could not be nicer. I have gone on and on about this thing, i know. I'm sorry for that. This is a camera system that you will use for a lifetime - it's that kind of photographic instrument. I want my to be happy and use what they have won in my auctions. So, there you have it.
