A12N' is not a factory designation, but one that is used to distinguish between the early and later versions of the A12 back. In 1984 a number of changes were made to improve then: - the film insert has a single steel arm to retain both spools - the release button has a'12' on it -'made in Sweden by Victor Hasselblad' was added to the side plate - film speed reminder is now a slot, rather than a fold down door which was often damaged In 1997 a further change was made that is very noticeable and somewhat overdue - a built in darkslide holder was added! Light seals: The light seal is light tight. Major functions have recently been professionally tested. We are specialists in medium and large format photographic equipment.
