Hasselblad CFV 50C Digital Back. For sale is my Hasselblad CFV 50C digital back. This digital back is in absolutely pristine condition having had very little use. Hasselblad 50MP digital back and sensor cover.

2 x new batteries and charger (Neewer). As New 4.5m Firewire 800 cable from TetherTools. As New SanDisk 32GB CF card and Sandisk USB-C CF card reader. In short, this sale includes everything you need to be up and running immediately, utilising your existing Hasselblad 500 series camera and lenses. The Hasselblad 503CW camera (pictured) is not included in this sale.

This digital back has been very well cared for. The sensor is clean and unmarked, the body of the back is immaculate.

I have tested the back on my Hasselblad 503CW and it works perfectly. Please do study the photographs as these form an essential part of the overall description. I have also connected the camera back via its Firewire 800 port (and 2 adapters) to a USB-C port on my MacBook. It works perfectly and also connects to the Hasselblad Phocus software (a free download). Images may also be imported directly into CaptureOne or Lightroom via the CF card.

Used in tethered mode, the cameras is powered over Firewire and does not require its battery. This digital back is a joy to use on your 500 series Hasselblad camera; it's like using digital film. You still have to meter manually, wind on the camera, set shutter speed and aperture on your lens, etc. The digital back allows you to capture the image and immediately review exposure, critical focus and composition, and send it to your computer or iPad.

A rudimentary live view function is included to allow critical focus to be checked before switching live view off again to capture the image. If, like me, you enjoy the haptics and experience of using your classic Hasselblad camera, then this digital back does not detract from that experience, but rather it enhances it greatly.

Image quality is simply stunning. I have been particularly impressed with the dynamic range, how the sensor ptoewts information in highlights, and colour rendition.
